Flips & TRICKS

Flips That Stick.
Lessons That Last.

They’re not just learning flips. They’re gaining the confidence to go for it.

At Urban Youth Park, we know the flips and tricks are what draw kids in—but it’s what they walk away with that really matters.

In a world where many programs slow kids down, over-correct, or make them feel like they’re not ready yet, we meet them where they are—and guide them forward with structure, trust, and support. We move with their energy, not against it. And we teach flips the smart way: with purpose, progressions, and coaching that truly sees them.

This class is for the kids who want to move—and for the parents who want it done right.

Here, your child will:

Learn how to fall safely—and land with confidence

• Build strength, coordination, and body awareness

Set goals and work toward them, with coaches who believe in them

• Practice flips, twists, vaults, and more in a supportive, structured environment

We replace pressure with progress. Judgment with joy. And fear with skill.

Whether your child is just starting out or already flipping on the couch, this is where they learn to move safely, train confidently, and love every second of it.

This isn’t just a flips class. It’s a launchpad.

Come see the difference.

The UYP Way: Flips & Tricks with Purpose

Students train through our 13-week progression, just like our parkour program, with a skill focus and core character attribute each week. While training across areas like floor, trampoline, vault, walls, bars, jumps, and ukemi, students work toward proficiency in three core categories:

Forward, Backward, and Sideways Flipping Skills.

With high-rep skill stations and a supportive environment, students develop coordination, spatial awareness, and confidence—one rep at a time.

What to Expect in Class

Arrival & Check-In
Arrive a few minutes early. Our team will welcome your child, help them feel comfortable, and get them mentally focused for the session.

0–10 Minutes: Skill-Based Warm-Up
We jump right into movement. Warm-ups are active and technical—focused on building strength, mobility, and flipping fundamentals. These drills are designed to reinforce testable skills and get students learning from the start.

10–15 Minutes: Stretches & Group Setup
Quick, dynamic stretches are turned into games and movement challenges to keep kids engaged. During this time, coaches take attendance and group students for the main rotations.

15–35 Minutes: First Rotation (Skill Stations)
Students rotate through stations focused on one of the week’s key skill areas—trampoline, vaults, walls, bars, or floor. Coaches lead high-rep, technique-driven drills tailored to each student’s level.

35–55 Minutes: Second Rotation (Skill Stations)
The second rotation builds on the first, adding challenges or introducing a different focus area to develop combos, flow, and body control.

55–60 Minutes: Group Activity & Wrap-Up
The class ends with a team challenge or game, followed by a quick recap of the day’s training and announcements.

After Class: Stop by the Front Desk to Sign Up
Whether it’s your first trial or you’re ready to level up, our team is here to help. Visit the front desk to enroll, ask questions, or track your child’s flipping progress.
